The goal of this research is to find the hot spot glare on the building facade and get the luminance value of the glare at the given time. In order to get the glare point, it needs to understand how the light reflected from the glass surface. When finding the exact point of reflected sunlight, it is possible to know the glare spot on the window and its luminance level.

 

This research compared the luminance level of glare spot at three different times (11 AM, 12 PM, and 13 PM) on Sept 21st.  The result indicates that the luminance level at 12 PM is higher than at other times. This script can be applied to different building forms to understand its glare issue.
